Who are we?

The Nature Network was founded by Jennifer Still and Gail Stewart, two experienced writers, editors, and lovers of the natural world who want to share their passion—and their concerns—for the planet and its creatures with readers everywhere. The content here is meant to inspire, educate, and entertain, but it all serves a singular purpose: to highlight the importance of the land and creatures around us, the imminent dangers they face, and the ways in which we can all help save them.

Jennifer Still is an entrepreneur whose publishing career began more than 15 years ago. She served as the founding editor for lifestyle website HelloGiggles, which was later acquired by TIME, before moving on to lead extensive research projects at The New York Times, Digital Spy, Ask.com’s The Know, Business Insider, Healthline, and Static Media, just to name a few. In addition to being a lifelong pet owner and wildlife lover, she’s currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science at the University of Manchester.

Gail Stewart‘s awe and concern for the environment began during her two-decade tenure working for her local government council, where she regularly interacted with members of the local community about their concerns facing their natural environments and how antisocial behaviour by residents was negatively affecting green spaces. Since then, she’s gone on to channel her desire for change into working for her town’s green initiatives, leading bi-weekly clean-ups, holding town hall meetings with residents, and starting a freecycling program to reduce unnecessary waste and encourage upcycling.
